NCECA!!

Fun mug i made to take to NCECA but didnt finish on time :0

I am very interested in making a series of mugs with a similar style, some fun colors, and patterns with the addition of a chain or chains.

This year was my first NCECA and it was exhausting, too much social interaction tbh, but overall fun. I enjoyed hanging around with the dirtbags and visiting Virginia I loved the city.

What I enjoyed the most about NCECA was the little pop-up shows around the city, those were super fun and cute, a lot of them got crowded, and the lines for service were eternal but it was a fun time. Andrea Keys demo, which I almost didn’t see, since I saw her before at ICC but I am so very glad I decided to stop by and see her demo of hollow building again, it was a great refresher and inspiration. Lastly, i went to see a short talk about ceramics and fashion, it was a tiny little 30-minute talk with a lot of inspiration, so much I might even finish the vest xd

Also, this piece reminds me a lot of something very similar I wanted to make but didn’t know how to deliver, now after seeing this I am interested in potentially trying it again.

Nceca was a lot of fun, but I guess I didn’t realize how much of it just networking, I am not gonna lie it was very overwhelming, but i still fell very privileged to be able to go at this level of my career when I haven’t really even “started”. so i am grateful for that, and i guess a lot more prepared now for the next NCECA.
