I love this one and I am very excited to see it out of the kilm.
On this and on the next piece, I wanted to play a little adding texture through color, and while I love how the smol bust turned out with the addition of the blue dots, I highly regret adding it on the little relief. it takes away from the shape and flattens the piece.
I love this piece, so much, he is very small but it’s fun and refreshing.
I am interested in further exploring the addition of patterns to pieces.
I originally made these cups for a Graphic Design project where we were asked to create a product, I wanted to make a colorful product, targeted towards young adults, from ages 20 to 30. I tried employing a variety of techniques such as hand-painting, glazing, and perhaps even experimenting with patterns and textures.
