This first week I worked some more on the vase, I was hoping to have a finished lid on the first week, to then clean up some details and have it ready to bisque… but it didn’t happen. I do want and need to hurry up and finish it since it is drying. I had a few setbacks last week that didn’t allow me to finish it; Obvious number one, it was the first week of class and number two, I want to add a heart chain on the lid and I am having issues with stability.

I think after my heart breaking once, I kind of know what to do and not do when remaking it. 
As for the long chain ending in a K and A (Katherine, my sister’s name and Ambar, my middle name and how my family calls me), that would be placed at the bottom of the lid and will be hiding inside the vase.

The next, next step is to figure out if I am adding a clear glaze and if I want to add color details (white) to the reliefs.
