Ceramics and graphic Design.

For a graphic design project, we were asked to create one product and market it in two different ways: One would be an affordable version of it and the other would be a more artisanal and therefore more expensive product.

For the project, I chose to make a Tequila Brand, and I thought It would be awesome to mix the project with ceramics, (as long as you are ok with this.) I am making two different bottles, one for each aspect of the project:
For the affordable Tequila, I want to make a ceramic bottle, with a simple and more common shape.
For the more expensive Tequila, the vessel shape will be a little more abstract, the shape will have a circular opening somewhere in the center or close to it, where a golden coin will hang.

To accomplish the ceramics aspect of the project, I need to do some research on decal making, the decal would be used to add the company logo on the bottles, and I will also need to research glazes.

The glazing: I was thinking about a mate black vessel with shiny small dots all over. I will either, make the dots one by one, find a crawling glaze, or find a glaze with which I can make the dots and hold the shape after firing.

I am excited about this project, I think it would be a good portfolio piece.

Sketches of the second vase coming up soon.

Post about chain ideas also coming up soon. :3
